Fire performance
IVALSA has carried out a series of tests that were aimed at defining the properties of X-lam constructions during a fire.
During the tests, all parameters necessary to classify the construction elements as fire-resistant were measured: R (mechanical resistance) E (integrity) I (insulation). The tests were carried out at the Building Research Institute (BRI) in Tsukuba, Japan in March 2007 on a 3-storey SOFIE building.
