Statics

The X-lam panels are used as wall, floor and roof elements and are produced by cross-wise gluing of wooden boards. The previously classified boards are finger-jointed and then cut to length. A new layer of boards is glued cross-wise upon a lower layer creating hence a panel with up to 11 layers which then cures under pressure. This cross-wise assembling produces a plate product with a high dimensional stability and excellent mechanical properties in all directions. Of course, the gluing technique, the production according to the state-of-the-art and the curing under pressure as well as the use of classified boards are indispensable requirements in order to use X-lam panels in constructions.
